Antica Affrontarsi/Confronting Antiquity is a collection of images that are about the juncture between contemporary and historical contexts in Italy. It examines the roles of tradition, ritual, historicism, and education, and how it relates to the way that we define ourselves today. It just may well be that while I was studying in Italy these were the question I asked myself as I’d encountered the rich layers of culture for the first time.
